Unplug. Create. Conquer.

Unplug from ordinary. Plug into stardom.

UNPLUG Management represents emerging and established artists from traditional and non-traditional backgrounds who are redefining what's possible in music, television & film. We unplug from industry conventions to discover exceptional talent others overlook. By thinking outside the box and taking bold risks on the artists who need us most, we create pathways where none existed before, building careers that transform both our clients and the industry itself.

At the helm of UNPLUG Management is Juss Thrasher, whose journey from the stage to behind the scenes exemplifies the resilience and vision that defines our approach. Music runs deep in Juss's bloodline descending from Gerhart and Andrew Thrasher of the 1960s doo-wop group The Original Drifters. Before managing top-tier talent, Juss was a recording artist himself, opening for R&B sensation Paula DeAnda and Gospel legend Shirley Caesar. This firsthand experience of navigating the industry has shaped his unique ability to identify and nurture raw talent.

Juss's storytelling instincts extend well beyond music. As founder of Penjot Media Group, he wrote his debut screenplay, Greyscale, directed by Daytime Emmy-nominated director Yaniel Paulino — a project that captured the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the 2020 Chelsea Film Festival. That partnership continued with the feature film Something of Value (Algo De Valor), which Juss wrote and which premiered at the 2023 New York Latino Film Festival with a screening at Regal theaters in New York City. Most recently, Juss stepped fully behind the camera as creator, writer, and showrunner of Unrequited, an LGBTQ+ dramedy series he also directs earning recognition as Best LGBTQ+ Web Series of 2025.

Under Juss's leadership, UNPLUG Management has secured major song placements on the hit television series Empire, as well as projects for FOX, HBO, and the NFL. One standout chapter: Juss guided the career of Yawny Blew during his run on Empire, steering the singer's creative direction as his sound reached a national stage. That same ear for talent extended into the studio, where Yawny Blew linked up with famed producer Rodney Jerkins and H.E.R., lending his voice to background vocals on "Hard Place"— a track that went on to earn two Grammy nominations.

That's the throughline of Juss's career: not just managing artists, but shaping them and stepping in as creative director, strategist, and manager across a roster of Grammy-caliber talent. That roster includes Cocoa Sarai, a Grammy and Emmy-winning singer-songwriter who has collaborated with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Anderson .Paak, and Nas; Berry Boo; Maeta; Marley Bleu, a Los Angeles-based vocalist with perfect pitch from the legendary Chuck Berry lineage; Karina Pasian, a Grammy-nominated multilingual artist mentored by Quincy Jones who has performed at the White House; and Kreesha Turner, a multiple Juno Award-nominated Canadian artist known for blending reggae, R&B, and hip-hop.

UNPLUG Management doesn't just build careers, we create movements. Through strategic placements, collaborative vision, and an unwavering commitment to artists who deserve to be heard, we're reshaping the entertainment landscape one groundbreaking talent at a time.
